On February 17, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) into law. The best estimate of the overall direct cost of the stimulus package is $789 billion. ARRA funds are targeted toward rebuilding infrastructure and positioning the country to grow the next generation economy.
