Enceptia (formerly D|C|CADD) was founded over 26 years ago with our primary purpose being to “help companies harness the power of design technology to win new business and increase profitability”. I have been with Enceptia for a couple of years now but I am still one of our most recent hires.  When I started, we were called D|C|CADD, we did not host many live or online events, we did not offer & support Advanced MEP products, we did not blog, we did not offer IT services, we did not write courseware, we did not offer hand-held scanners, we did not offer Bluebeam™, ClearEdge3d™ or iConstruct™ software.  Heck, we didn’t even have a YouTube channel. Wow!  A lot has changed; D|C|CADD is now Enceptia. A lot of people asked “Why the name change?”  Mostly because we wanted to get “CAD” out of the name and convey that we have grown beyond good old AutoCAD.  There was no change in ownership.  We are still your source for Autodesk products, training and support.  We still have offices in San Antonio, Dallas/Ft. How many of you out there hold onto those old work stations because they "work just fine"?  I know many people who refuse to purchase newer work stations because they don't want to spend the money.  I recently had a call from a guy who was upset because he just purchased AutoCAD 2015 and was having trouble installing it on a Windows 2000 system.  REALLY!?!?!?!?Technology changes and it changes fast.  And, no, not because the manufacturers are forcing you to spend money.  Yes, they are in the game to make profits, but what's really driving the changes comes from users.  Users are constantly wanting better, faster, more robust tools added to their computers, software, etc.  Rather than thinking of it as "spending" money for these tools you should be thinking of it as "INVESTING" in your company.  Let's face it, you use these tools to make money.
