#bestplant3dreseller: Plant 3D on BIM 360 Hackathon
16 April 2020All, BIM 360, Industrial and Plant, plant 3dPlant 3D

So, we got the news out about our Plant 3d on BIM 360 hackathon, but we need to provide more detail on what it is. You can register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/save-the-galaxy-with-plant-3d-on-bim-360-design-hackathon-tickets-102390306162
The Big Idea
Use as many Autodesk products to build an industrial design model in a global project (to #savethegalaxy). When you register, you’ll let us know which product you want to use, (Revit, Civil 3D, Advance Steel, Plant 3D, Inventor). We’re going to manage the product and project configurations, coordination, and organizing the design. We’re asking each volunteer to spend at least 4 hours on #starwarsday (May the Fourth) building industrial design models.
Needs
You’ll need a version that can connect to BIM 360 Docs which for Plant 3d means 2021, or Civil 3d 2021. All users will need their own license of BIM 360 Design.
Prizes
We will be awarding prizes which are still in the process of getting finalized. We’re thinking about things like best design, most amount of content, and creativity.
Why
We want to give as many people as possible a chance to kick the tires on some of these workflows. We’re excited about some of the new Revit<->Inventor workflows, Plant3D/Civil3d to Docs, and Revit<->Civil 3D integration.
How
Like most of you are probably thinking, this is going to be a lot to pull off. We’re planning to have some design meetings the week of 4/27 with a finalized list of registrants to make sure everyone knows where they’ll be modelling, has access to sample and reference files, and is prepped for the big day.
So, if you get excited about #plant3d, or industrial design in general, we’d love to have you register.
