Scalable Solution that Guards Your Data

Never having to worry about the safety of your company’s data is an IT manager’s dream come true.

Second on the list of happy thoughts is never having to worry about running out of space for your company’s files. Imagine being able to deliver very large files instantly – no copying, no concerns about who else is working in a file, no need to keep adding servers to accommodate huge original files, huge revisions, and backups of the backups.

Then there is all the time you could save by not having to move files around and deal with issues of network connections. Imagine not having to worry that natural disasters and emergency situations could wipe out your IT infrastructure and leave your company powerless to conduct business. Instead, staff are able to access the company’s data and work on . . .  with no issues.

Pie in the sky, you say? No way.

If you’re an IT manager/director, these few examples represent just the tip of the ice cube of ways the global cloud file storage solution of Panzura can make your life better. In a recent AEC Disruptors podcast, “How Do IT Directors Sleep at Night?” Clay Pilkilton, IT Director for M&S Engineering, described how he can have peace of mind in the current climate of ransomware attacks and data endangerment.

The solution M&S uses to conduct business in the cloud is Panzura.

As file sizes continue to increase, you may sometimes be concerned you’ll run out of space. Because the Panzura solution is scalable, that won’t happen, even if you have enormous files or enormous company growth. As Clay described it, because Panzura storage is in the cloud, using it is seamless to your users: the files on the drive they access regularly just happen to reside somewhere else.

This global cloud feature also makes Panzura a collaborative tool that allows your company to grow and get more work done from multiple locations instantaneously. The experience of accessing and working on files is the same in every one of your company’s offices users work from – no productivity issues.

Despite the data risks these days that may keep IT managers awake at night, by using Panzura, 100% of your company’s data is protected in the cloud. No worries about ransomware, server space, backups, unavailability of data, servers going down. All of those mission critical pieces that are the heart and soul of company deliverables are backed up and protected. As Jason Schmidt explained during the podcast, “The data is always there.”

That level of protection is provided by the Panzura immutable file system. Data is written to the cloud in blocks, and once written, those blocks cannot be changed. Any changes are saved as a new block. If someone accidentally deletes an important file, or if a bad actor encrypts your files, you can go back to the data blocks that existed just before the problem and restore everything to the point in time pre-problem.

If you’re looking for a good night’s sleep despite the many dangers to your company’s data, Clay and Jason both agreed that these are just a few of the reasons Panzura can help.

With Panzura, it’s not pie-in-the-sky dreaming, it’s peace of mind.
