System Requirements for Revit 2019

On April 17, 2018 Autodesk published a very useful article about the System Requirements for Revit 2019. What’s great about it, is that the main hardware configurations are workflow related.
Below I have outlined a modified SUMMARY of my top recommendations:
- Minimum: Entry-Level Configuration
- Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise, or Pro
- Multi-Core Intel® i5 or i7 Series processor or AMD® equivalent with SSE2 technology
- 8 GB RAM
- Value: Balanced price and performance
- Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise, or Pro
- Multi-Core Intel® i7-Series processor or AMD® equivalent with SSE2 technology
- 16 GB RAM
- Performance: Large, complex models
- Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise, or Pro
- Multi-Core Intel Xeon, Intel® i7-Series processor or AMD® equivalent with SSE2 technology
- 32-64 GB RAM
- 10,000+ RPM (for Point Cloud interactions) or Solid State Drive
- Collaboration for Revit (in addition to the above)
- Three times (3X) the total disk space consumed by equivalent RVT files for all cloud workshared projects accessed by the user.
- Internet connection able to deliver symmetrical 25 Mbps for each machine on burst transfers.
- VMware®: Recommended-Level Configuration (in addition to the above)
- VMware Horizon® 6.1 or later / VMware vSphere® 6 or later
- 384-512 GB RAM
- NVIDIA GRID K2 or later
