If you’re using Autodesk Advance Steel and need to control what letters are used in grids (for example, I’s and O’s are difficult to read when there are also 1’s and 0’s), following is the way to do that.
First, you will need to go to Management Tools.
Go to Table Editor, and then click on Open Installed Databases at the top left corner.
Use “grid” as a filter to quickly find the GridMultiLang table in the AstorBase database.
You will find three rows: Small letters, Capital letters, and Numbers.
If you need to exclude letters/numbers, fill out the CharsToBeExcluded column for the necessary rows.

Be sure to hit Update Defaults under the Home tab to apply the changes afterwards.
