Vault Basic – A Subscription Benefit

There are many benefits to having Subscription with your Autodesk products. One of the biggest benefits is having access to the many Product Enhancements that are available for download on the Subscription site.  However, it can be difficult to know what is there for you without doing a little digging on your own.

One Product that is available for download for many Subscription customers is Autodesk Vault Basic. It is quickly becoming a necessary tool for data file storage, security, backup, and teamwork needs within multiple markets, including, infrastructure, AEC, and manufacturing.  Outlined below, are the steps and information on how to access the Vault Basic Server and Client downloads.

Login to Subscription Center using your credentials.  When the Subscription Center landing page loads, scroll down underneath the golden banner that reads, ‘Get Your Upgrade’, to see the Product Enhancements section. Click on Download


On the Product Enhancements page, click on Title to sort the titles alphabetically.

Scroll down to find Autodesk Vault Basic 2014.  Please note that you can use the 2014 Vault Server for client installs up to two releases back(Example: You have a 2014 Vault Server install, you can have client install of 2012 or newer).

The next page provides information on Vault, and includes the download links for both the server and client versions of the software. There is also a list of Qualifying Autodesk Products (with Versions listed) for Autodesk Vault Basic 2014.

Click on each link to download the executable installer for both the Server Component and the Client Component.
