The main goal of this mandate was to design a falsework steel structure seating on temporary piles. The structure supported a pile cap of 4m dimension and the formwork underwater. The structure had to resist significant gravity loads (self-weight, formwork & concrete) as well as important water pressures (buoyancy & lateral). The structural components had to be designed to ease installation. Therefore, it was crucial to analyze all the load transmission using a structural model.
